Description: Our Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician Exam Prep course prepares students to sit for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T1-T8 certification exams. This course outlines specific ASE tasks and content related to their diagnosis, maintenance, and repair. Students will practice with pretests and ASE style exam questions to fully prepare for the exam and become familiar with its format. Learn the knowledge you need to master these ASE certification exams today!

After completing this course, you should be able to:

Identify the steps for diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel engines
Identify the steps for servicing components of the drivetrain
Identify the methods for diagnosing and repairing suspension, steering, and brake systems
Identify the steps for troubleshooting electronic systems and HVAC systems
Identify the steps for performing Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI)

Instructor Description: This class is an independent-study course.  Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material.  A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.

Certification: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to sit for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T1-T8 certification exams. Certification exams are not included in the cost of the course

Requirements



Internet Access



Broadband or high-speed internet access is required. Broadband includes DSL, cable, and wireless connections.
Dial-Up internet connections will result in a diminished online experience. Moodle pages may load slowly and viewing large audio and video files may not be possible.

Hardware



Windows hardware configurations and processors are acceptable

Mac computers MUST have Microsoft Window Operating Systems over Bootcamp (Bootcamp is a free download from Apple''s website)

1 GB RAM minimum recommended
