: Managing diversity is one of the hardest challenges any manager can face. The purpose of a diversity program is to create a positive workplace where no one feels they are at an advantaged or disadvantaged; they are usually built around one of three management methods: the discrimination and fairness paradigm, the access and legitimacy paradigm, or the learning and effectiveness paradigm. Besides these paradigms, companies also use training programs and other practices to manage diversity.
Diversity management is one of the more difficult tasks an organization’s manager may have to undertake. This course discusses several paradigms of diversity management, along with tips on managing diversity programs.Instructor Description
: This class is an independent-study course. Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material. A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.
Broadband or high-speed internet access is required. Broadband includes DSL, cable, and wireless connections.
Dial-Up internet connections will result in a diminished online experience. Moodle pages may load slowly and viewing large audio and video files may not be possible.
Windows hardware configurations and processors are acceptable
Mac computers MUST have Microsoft Window Operating Systems over Bootcamp (Bootcamp is a free download from Apple''s website)
1 GB RAM minimum recommended
