Short Description: Many people are returning to their roots these days and venturing into one of the oldest professions - farming - but on a smaller scale. Small scale farming is a viable source of side income as well as a great family food source. This course will provide you with resources and information needed to start raising, caring for and profiting from small animals and cattle. You will gain information about every aspect of raising farm animals, from selecting the right animals to harvesting and butchering.

Instructor Description: This class is an independent-study course.  Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material.  A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.

Requirements
Internet Access:
Broadband or high-speed internet access is required. Broadband includes DSL, cable, and wireless connections.

Hardware:
1 GB RAM minimum recommended

Windows XP, Vista or 7

Mac computers:
Mac OS X 10 or higher
MUST have Microsoft Window Operating Systems over Bootcamp (Bootcamp is a free download from Apple''s website)
